How to use Musallah App — find prayer places, times, and Qibla with confidence
Welcome
Musallah App helps you find nearby masjids and prayer rooms, see aadhan and iqamah times, set reminders, and contribute accurate place information for the community.
Use the bottom navigation for the main features, the location strip at the top to set your city, and the menu (☰) for Contribution, Help, About Us, and account shortcuts.
Your location
The bar under the app title shows your Nearest City (from GPS) or Selected City (if you chose one).
- Tap the city name to search and pick another city.
- Use Use GPS to refresh your current position.
Nearby musallahs and prayer times are based on this location. Allow location permission for the best results.
Now
See the previous and next aadhan with a live countdown (“ago” / “in …”). For each prayer, the app lists nearby musallahs with their iqamah time and distance.
- Pull down to refresh nearby places and times.
- On Friday, Dhuhr is shown as Jumuah and only places with Jumuah are listed.
- Around Sunrise, you may see a short morning adhkar slideshow.
- Open All Nearby Musallahs for the full list.
Musallahs
Browse places near you. Choose a prayer filter (Fajr–Isha) to sort by that prayer’s iqamah.
- Nearby List — sorted by distance, with iqamah for the selected prayer.
- Map — your position and musallah pins.
- Tap a place to open its details.
- Use Add Musallah (sign-in required) to contribute a new place.
Today
View today’s Gregorian and Hijri dates, previous/next prayer with countdown, and a progress bar between them.
- Each prayer card shows aadhan and your preferred iqamah (from Settings).
- If aadhan alerts are enabled, reminders are prepared from these times.
Qibla
Find the direction of the Kaaba from your location. Hold the phone flat and align the arrow upward.
- Shows bearing, device heading, and approximate distance to Makkah.
- On web, you may see bearing and distance without a live compass.
