Musallah App (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) helps Muslims find nearby musallahs and masjids, view prayer and iqamah times, use Qibla tools, and contribute community information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Account information when you sign in with Google (such as name, email address, and Google account identifier).
- Location when you grant permission, used to show nearby musallahs and Qibla direction.
- Content you submit, including musallah details, iqamah times, facilities, and photos you choose to upload.
- Technical information needed to operate and secure the service (for example request logs and basic device/app diagnostics).
How we use information
- To provide app features such as nearby search, accounts, prayer tools, and community contributions.
- To store and display musallah information and photos you submit.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
We do not sell your personal data.
Sharing
- Google Sign-In is provided by Google; their handling of sign-in data is governed by Google’s policies.
- Cloud storage may be used to store uploaded musallah photos for the app backend.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and integrity of the service.
Permissions
- Location – nearby musallahs and Qibla.
- Notifications – optional adhan and prayer alerts.
- Photos / media – only when you choose to upload a musallah photo.
Data retention
Account and contribution data is kept while your account remains active and while the related content is available in the service. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us.
Children
Musallah App is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
